I'm Jay Tillu, a Cloud Security Engineer. My journey moved from building software to securing AWS environments—and showed me that real cloud skill is not just knowing services. It is knowing what to check next.

About the creator
My career started in software engineering before progressing into information security and AWS cloud security. That foundation helps me look at a system from both sides: how it is built, and how it can fail.
Today, my work spans AWS governance, secure access, monitoring, compliance readiness and incident investigation. The goal stays simple: reduce risk, improve visibility and make security practical for real teams.

The journey
The Cloud Toolkit is the result of that progression—not a separate idea, but the next step in it.
Learning how applications, infrastructure and user experiences fit together.
Working across risk, compliance, endpoints and incident response.
Focusing on governance, identity, monitoring and resilient cloud operations.
Turning troubleshooting judgment into guided, realistic incident practice.
Why I built it
Most learning resources explain what IAM, ALB, CloudWatch or S3 does. Real incidents ask a harder question: what should I check next?
I created The Cloud Toolkit to practise that missing middle—the reasoning between an alert and a confident root cause.
Troubleshooting loop
From signal to understanding
Observe
Read the signal
Investigate
Follow evidence
Decide
Choose safely
Understand
Find root cause
Practice the decision process, not just the final answer.
